A Note From Pastor Moody:
For years I have seen great national organizations on our public school campuses - Young Life, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Campus Crusade for Christ to name a few. Recent events like See You at the Pole help to create an awareness of how precious is our freedom to pray on public school campuses.Did you know that our church can connect with students, parents and teachers in a more personal way? Last week Conroe ISD Superintendent Dr. Don Stockton, Charles Staples, and I spent time reading to elementary students at Giesinger Elementary School. Our friendly host was the Principal, Mrs. Jeri Alloway.
Dr. Stockton is leading the charge in our community by stressing the importance of devoting at least 30 minutes a day to reading aloud to children. Consider becoming a volunteer to read to children. Or let them read to you! Contact the school closest to you to volunteer or if you would like to accompany me on my next reading journey, let me know. Reading to children - a way for followers of Christ to be back in public school with God!

Coming Up!
People Enjoying People(PEP) Fellowship meets the third Thursday of every month. We start our fellowship time at 9:30 am. Lunch is served at 11:30 A.M. Most months the meat is furnished and everyone is asked to bring a side dish or dessert. At various times during the year, we have special speakers or entertainment. For more information call our Seasoned Adult Ministry at 936-521-1661.
The Remember When Singers would like to invite you to join this fun loving Senior Singing group. They meet every Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Church Chapel. If you like the "Mitch Miller" songs of yesteryear, please join us.

Random Acts of Kindness
Monday, May 5 at 11:00 am, we will take birthday cakes to the faculty and staff at our partner school, Giesinger Elementary. We will leave the church parking lot after Pastor John's Monday morning Bible Study.
