Missionary Phone Calls
Sundays, during Christmas Time
Weekly Sunday morning phone conversations with a foreign missionary family. The purpose of these calls is to better understand the prayer and financial needs of the family and to promote the annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

Samaritans Purse - Gift Giving
Operation Christmas Child sends a message of hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes and Christian literature. This program provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that reaches out to suffering children while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift. Mentoring sessions offered in the Fall and the Spring.

Samaritans Purse
Rather than giving a gift that will sit on someone's shelf and collect dust, honor a loved one with a gift of any price that will help a child, a family or a whole village. A catalog of gift ideas is available.

Baptist Student Ministries Luncheon
Sam Houston State University - Provide and host a luncheon for the students of the Baptist Student Ministry. 50 to 75 students eat, visit, and are ministered to during this time. We need volunteers to provide spaghetti and cookies, and to help during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Woman to Woman Mentoring
Using the wisdom that comes from life's experiences to help others who are encountering similiar experiences in their lives. Christian mentors share how God guides and supports, counsels and consoles, in both good and bad times.

  • Mentoring requires no special talent, or God-given quality. All God asks is for us to take seriously
the task of mentoring and building up other women.
